Youth Hockey Overview

The food is great, and the rate is good for unlimited skating! Definitely will be coming again soon, but I hope that they will adjust the time to give more time for public skating during the weekend. On March 1, we will begin migrating Pineville Ice House programs, classes, camps, teams and events to our new Self-Service platform. By June 1, all registrations will be on this new platform. Advance, online registration is required for all classes and camps.

Bar & Restaurant

The Early Spring session will be an 8 sessions. The Pineville Ice House is now enforcing a No Bag Policy during our busiest Public Skating sessions, especially on Friday nights. Travel Teams at Tier I  AAA and Tier  II  AA and A levels. Kyle McIntyre is the Figure Skating Director at Pineville Ice House. He said there’s no other way around it. To figure skate You have to be flawless.

Our Youth League runs year round as Fall, Spring and Summer seasons. The Pineville Youth Hockey League (PYHL) is a recreational hockey league for youth players through age 16. Admission includes hockey or figure skates, toddler through adult sizes. Public Skating is open to all ages and skill levels. Rental figure and hockey skates are available.

PINEVILLE HOCKEY

Beginner skating for teens and adults interested in hockey, figure skating or just skating for fun. The Early Spring session will be 8 sessions. $15 discount when you register before February 23. We use an Olympia IceBear electric ice resurfacer which generates no Carbon Monoxide emissions. Other rink maintenance equipment, including our forklift, scissor lift and ice edger, are also electric. Our Munters dehumidifier includes a fresh air intake and runs continuously to circulate air in the rink.

The Pineville Ice House features an NHL sized rink, Pro Shop, Restaurant and Bar. We provide year round classes, leagues, programs and events for youth and adult skaters from beginner to advanced levels. Our rink hosts local, regional, and national hockey and figure skating events. The rink has served the Charlotte community since 1995. The Falcons Youth League is a recreational hockey league for youth players through age 16. Practices and League games are held at the Pineville Ice House.

Charlotte Douglas International Airport is 16 miles and uptown Charlotte is 14 from our rink. An Unaccompanied Minor is any customer under age 18 that is not accompanied by a parent or guardian. For the safety and enjoyment of all our customers, Unaccompanied Minors are subject to additional rules and restrictions.

Currently, Falcons have teams at the 10U and 12U levels in the Carolinas Hockey League (CHL). Our program is sanctioned by USA Hockey and the Carolina Amateur Hockey Association (CAHA). The travel season runs primarily from September through February, though some practices, camps and events occur in the off season. Beginner skating classes for toddlers, children, teens and adults.
